Edd wasn't the biggest influence on my art, but as an animation peer of his, I respected and looked up to him in the sense that he pumped out so many awesome cartoons and was consistent with it. I was around to see his style evolve and become well-known. He was productive til his end and made a huge fan-base and made a lot of people happy. I never met him personally or talked to him much online, but I know he was a great and kind guy. I knew of him since around 03-04 and grew up with him online in the same NG and DA communities. It's unfortunate and I wish the best to his family and friends who are going through a lot more.
Another thing is, I've been around the Newgrounds community since around 03. And unlike many of the people I grew along-side with on NG, I haven't been as productive. Everyone else has made several cartoons and made more of a name for themselves. I feel like if I want to be where I am, I need to be a lot more active and make more cartoons. Like I need to "make-up" for all the time I spent not doing so. All I've had on my plate so far is some rushed holiday/competition-related things and a title as being part of the RWD. There are no "classic Fungasm/Darkshadow8181 cartoons" that people fondly remember.. I'm lucky in the sense that I'm known as much as I am on NG, even if it is just a little. So really, all I want to announce is that I'll be working on a few projects and will treat making these cartoons more as a job, because I think I need to see it as a "chore" to get it done. I've always had this "animate when you feel" rule for myself. But I think the rule turned for the worse, as I hardly animate anymore... or hardly animate ever due to laziness. I need to get back into the swing of things and animate every day. I have so many unfinished and lost projects it's crazy.
Time to stop being a lazy piece of shit and become a productive member of society.
Also, if anything, I'm glad to see that the NG community cares so much for each other. Despite being very spread-out, it's comforting to see that we all respect and care about our animator peers. Much love~

So, on my youtube channel, http://www.youtube.com/user/fungasmtub e , along with my animations that are on there, I also post game-play/let's play videos. I do this for my own enjoyment, and enjoy recording it. And if others like it as well, then awesome.
However, I'm thinking of getting rid of all the game-plays on my channel. I do like making them when I'm not animating. It lets me post content when I don't have any animation to post up. Should I make a different channel for the games, and just have animations on my main channel? For those of you that actually DO watch my game-play videos, if at all, what would you guys prefer? Maybe I should stop recording games all together? Whether I play games or not, the amount of game-playing that I've done lately doesn't effect how much I animate. I've been animating a lot more recently actually~
But yeah. tell me what you guys think.
ALSO, Youtube is a butt and disabled monetization on 3 of my videos. 3 of them being ANIMATED things with either music used under creative commons or are public domain. so.. wth youtube?
That's it really.. other than that, I'm working on 2 or 3 things, so you'll be seeing more stuff from me eventually~

Hey guys! Just a quick post to let you know I'll be making, and have been working on some new animations! However, animating can be a bit time-consuming, as most of you may know. So, because of that, I've decided to use my youtube account http://www.youtube.com/user/FungasmTub e to host all of my animations and as well as video games/let's plays/play-throughs/etc. Playing some games and posting them on youtube is a pretty good thing for me.
1. It allows me to pump out more content for you guys to enjoy.
2. It gives me some time to animate. So while you watch, I animate.
3. Playing games is pretty fun anyway.
Lately, I've been playing through Dead Island. On my channel right now there's a bit of Minecraft, Super Meat Boy, etc. and more to come. I've been pretty busy as of late. I'm starting a new job as an animation intern soon, so hopefully that works out well for me. But yeah, if you do go to my channel, I do hope you'll give me some support and love! Be sure to like, comment, subscribe, and all that good stuff! I'll leave you with this latest part of my Dead Island play-through that I just put up. Off to animate some more~
EDIT: PS: Be sure to also give fellow animator Funy-Mony some love and check out his website http://www.mediamuffin.com/
He's been posting up a bunch of comics lately! All of which are awesome and funny. The site hosts his animations as well, so go check it out!

I haven't been animating all that much in the last few years. And now that I've been animating a bit more frequently and have been more productive, I've been thinking about how I can make animation, something I love to do and want to continue improving on, a career. I want to be able to make a name for myself, to get myself out there and make a living off of my work. I want to get better at what I love doing. Maybe to the point where I can start up my own animation studio. I'm making this post because I want any guidance on how I can achieve making a living off of what I love doing. How does one start? So if you know anything about that, I would love to hear your two-cents on the subject.

Josilver, Aigis, and I worked on a game for the 3rd Newgrounds Game Jam. YOU SHOULD TOTALLY CHECK IT OUT.
...that's all I have to announce really. It's a pretty good game for something that was done in 3 days or so. The music is cool too.
